A year ago this week, we visited Grandpa Beckmann (or "Grandpa from the Farm" as Luke knows him) so he could meet Nora (then 3 weeks old). We had a nice visit at his apartment and walked to lunch at Jake's Pizza a few blocks away. My mom was with for our visit and both she and I told Grandpa how great he looked and got around for being 85 years old. Little did we know that this visit would be one of only two times Nora got to see Grandpa and that only four months later he would be gone. I am so very grateful that Luke has several memories with Grandpa to remember and share with Nora as she grows up.
