We Love Wednesdays

Bridgie's House and Brian Regan
Last Friday night, Brent and I had our first date since his injury.  We bought tickets last fall for Brian Regan's comedy show at the Mayo Civic Center in Rochester.  It turned out to be a good excuse for a night out.  During our date, the kids hung with my parents at "Bridgie's house," as Nora calls it, with Piper and Parker. The kids love cousin time together, especially when Luke is able to come since he's the only one in all day school.

Luke was out too:)

Moana
Nora was a trooper last weekend: she ran lots of errands with mom and spent an entire day at Luke's basketball tournament.  I was very proud of her patience and good attitude through it all so I decided to treat her to something I knew she'd enjoy: a movie out with mom:)  We saw a matinee of Moana and ate popcorn for lunch.  She's growing up a lot and it's fun to have one-on-one time together.

Nora slept on the gym floor for nearly an entire basketball game

Choir Concert
Luke had his first choir concert at Bear Cave Intermediate School.  It was a fun compilation of songs about American history.  This may be surprising,  but this was one of Nora's favorites from the week:)

Driving
Brent still isn't able to drive, but he's been back to work (in the office) for a couple weeks and has been back to coaching basketball.   How does he get everywhere?  Yours truly:)  I don't mind at all and I appreciate the extra time we get together right now.  Of course we wouldn't choose this injury, but we can make the best of it.

Siblings
I love our kids' relationship.  They, like all siblings, have their moments, but I feel like they have been in a very good phase together recently.   Last Friday,  Luke was on a ski trip and Nora made him a card to give him when he got home.  So sweet that she thought of him.  Also, this weekend in church, Luke let Nora rest her head on him.  I love how they love each other and that neither of them is to the stage yet where friends are more important than their sibling.  I'll enjoy it while it lasts and continue to encourage it.
