Our sweet Nora Abigail has been a busy girl recently...
- She has five teeth now (two on top and three on bottom)
- She has the following words: mom, mama, dada, papa, ball, baby, all done, hi, nana (which Brent believes means Nora). It also sounds like she says a couple word combos, but I'm not counting them just yet: "I did it" and "Got it"
- She loves dogs! When she sees or hears one, she squeals and starts barking (oof-oof). She even does it when she sees a picture of a dog (like in the store the other day on a box of dog treats):) Honestly she doesn't spend any time with dogs, so I'm not sure if she'd actually enjoy playing with one or if it's just the sights and sounds she enjoys:)
- She may not be technically talking just yet, but she understands what we're talking about and communicates well with head shakes (meaning no), pointing, squawking (my least favorite approach), and signing (only a few words).
- She loves walking behind toys or holding our hands, but she will not intentionally walk by herself. She'll even run (as close to running as a toddler can do) while holding something. We have seen her take a couple steps unknowingly from one item she's holding to another item she wants, but no official walking yet.
- She gets on and off her rocking horse/zebra and rocks herself...it's pretty stinkin' cute:)
- She knows exactly who we're talking about when we talk about Luke, but she doesn't have a name or word for him yet. This is very surprising based on how much she adores him.
- She has changed her cue to raise her hands above her head from "so big" to "touchdown"
- Nora is our night owl. We put her to bed between 7 and 8pm each night, but it is not uncommon for her to chat happily to herself in her crib for up to an hour. In the mornings, however, she's usually the last one up. I think she gets this from her momma;)
- She's loving parks right now. We've had a lot of opportunities to play at parks with the beautiful fall weather we've been having. She loves climbing stairs and crawling on the big toys. She's also gotten quite adventurous with slides, as in she likes to go down head first! Gotta keep a close eye on this one:)
- She wants to eat everything she sees in the kitchen and everything we eat. How do we know this? She points and says "mmmm" and won't quit until we tell her no or give her a bite. Recently I was eating an apple (in it's whole form) and she wanted some. I cut some into small pieces for her in her high chair, but she only wanted it how I was eating it. I held the apple to her mouth, she opened wide, and proceeded to lick the apple. She had no idea what she was supposed to do with it, but was every so happy to be "eating" like mommy:)
- We just love this little peanut to pieces and enjoy her curious, adventurous, loving, and playful personality.

Just this weekend after I posted, our little lady added a few new words/sounds to her repertoire. Friday night she said Aunt Audra's name:) And, she mastered more sounds for animals: "baa" for sheep, "oo-oo" for monkey, and "meow" for cat. She is quite the little echo these days:)
