High Five for Friday

Picker Family Weekend

It was a Picker-filled weekend.  Greg, Cally, and kids were down from Rosemount for the weekend. The entire Picker crew invaded Mr. Pizza North Friday night (there are now 8 adults and 7 kids), most of us watched the Michigan football game together Saturday afternoon, and Sunday most of us had lunch together at Ruth & Kerry's.  Mekhi stayed with us for the weekend so he and Luke played nonstop!  We had a tired boy on our hands by Sunday night:)

I tried taking a "selfie" with Nora instead of taking the pic from
the other side of the camera.  She thoroughly enjoyed
seeing herself in the camera screen:)

Northwoods Orchard Trip

Wednesday was a no school day for Rochester schools, so we took advantage and met a friend at the orchard.  Luke loves doing the corn maze every year so we ventured out into the chilly afternoon to conquer it!  Nora was a trooper riding along in her stroller and seemed to enjoy it too.

Our Cultured Children

Brent's parents took us out to Osaka this week in honor of my birthday.  Luke cracked me up at dinner. We're at a Japanese restaurant and he orders chicken nuggets and fries and proceeds to eat them with his chop sticks (which he has no idea how to use):)

Forget using both,
I'll just stab it with one chop stick:)

Lindens

This Monday, my Dad (aka Papa daycare) had surgery on his elbow again due to returned infection.  He has to keep his elbow completely immobilized for two weeks so we lined up alternative care for Nora on the days I work.  We were beyond blessed with the opportunity for Nora to head to Luke's former daycare: Jon & Tracy Linden.  My schedule worked with their part time availability so they were able to help out last minute (Dad learned about his surgery on Friday).  Nora has been a bit skeptical about going to Jon and Tracy's, at least at drop off, but she's had good days playing and napping so far.  I, on the other hand, have loved getting to see Jon and Tracy more this week and love that Nora is in their loving care while my dad recuperates.

Family Time

This is our first week between sports seasons and I'm loving it!  We've had time to spend together at home together and time to visit with both sets of grandparents.  We are blessed!
