Style Tips from a Two Year Old

There are so many things I love about this lady, but I especially love this toddler stage when they're bodies are morphing from chubby little baby to miniature person:)

Style Tips from Nora

Tip #1: Flaunt what your momma gave ya!

In Nora's case, this would be her belly:)  It's hard to see in this pic, but her tunic has an elastic band under her belly.  As an adult, most would try to hide that tummy, but toddlers can rock it:)

Tip #2: Glittery sunglasses enhance ANY outfit

Tip #3:  The more skin the better!

Babies and toddlers have such lovely, plump, soft skin, which even includes adorable rolls sometimes.  It's best to share them with the world;)

Tip #4: Always wear bloomers under dresses. (Important to follow after Tip #3)

Modesty is important for those windy days or when you're moved to lift your dress;)

Tip #5: Embrace the pixie cut, even if you know boys with more hair and you didn't actually CHOOSE the pixie cut;)

Tip #6: Flaunt your bruises.

You're blessed to be a healthy, active toddler.  Rock those bruises as accessories!

Staycation!

This summer, Brent and I decided to take a week off work for a staycation: "a vacation spent at home or near home doing enjoyable activities or visiting local attractions", and it was lovely!

A few highlights from our week:

Wedding Weekend celebrating Jen's cousin, Steph, as she married Richie in St Paul.
Did I mention this was a kid-free two day get away too?;)

After the wedding at St Catherine's University

New AC Unit installed in our house after a July full of issues with the AC unit original to our house.

Bonfire fun in the backyard complete with scrumptious s'mores and fire fly catching

A day at Gold Rush for just Brent and I.
A few items that Brent liked that he'd possibly like to build himself.

My few Gold Rush purchases
Tin pumpkin with candle holder
BEFORE
I got the rocker earlier this summer
and wanted a small table to go with it.
Found this metal stool at Gold Rush
with the intention of repainting it.

AFTER
Painted stool navy and
added a cute pillow
A trolley ride with Rochester Trolley and Tour with stops at the
Farmer's Market and Silver Lake Park

Brent with a beard...
this is a rare sighting indeed

A trip to the pool to cool off with my bathing beauties

Enjoying sweet corn from the Farmer's Market (three consecutive days for dinner:))

Love those blue eyes!
Luke's all time favorite food!
Pedicures with my mom and sister

And, of course, lots of general cuteness with our two favorite kiddos
Love the little flips/curls in the back:)

Got this little table out from the attic that used to be Luke's
and Nora loves it!

Tea party:)
Nora loves sitting in the little
window by the front door.
Her little booty fits perfectly:)
We let Nora sleep in the guest room
where she had a queen bed to herself

Chalk renditions of the kids in
their outfits for the day
Trip to mall to turn in Luke's Barnes and Noble Summer Reading Program to pick out a free book
